Filter vs. Espresso Roast
Light vs. Dark Roast Showdown: Filter vs. Espresso
It's all about the roast!
Filter roasts are lighter, letting the bean's natural flavors shine through.
Espresso roasts go darker, creating a bolder taste perfect for those intense espresso shots.
Grind size and solubility also differ - filter coffee is more forgiving, while espresso demands a finer grind to extract quickly.
In the end, filter roasts highlight the bean's unique character, while espresso roasts bring the intensity.

How Long Does Roasted Coffee Stay Fresh?
The freshness of roasted coffee depends on how you store it, but here's a quick guide:
Whole beans: Last longest, ideally 1-2 weeks after opening in an airtight container.
Ground coffee: Starts losing flavor faster, best enjoyed within 3-5 days of grinding.
For the best flavor, buy whole beans and grind them just before brewing!
What Grind Size Should I Use for My Brewing Method?
Don't worries! Picking the right grind can feel tricky, but here's a quick guide to get you brewing like a pro:
French Press: Go big or go home! Think chunky, like cracked pepper.
Drip Coffee Maker: Medium-coarse grind is your sweet spot, about the size of sea salt.
Pour-Over: Imagine beach sand, medium grind for a delicious cup.
AeroPress: This one's flexible! Grind like table salt for a slower brew, or go finer for a quicker shot (think espresso).
Espresso Machine: Ultra-fine grind, like powdered sugar for that perfect pull.
These are just starting points though! Feel free to play around with grind size to find your coffee happy place.
